French-American Chamber of Commerce's Young Professionals Committee

In February 2016, FACC-Chicago launched its Young Professionals Group, a network of young professionals working in the Chicago area. Its goal: connect and build the next generation of leaders in industries related to French-American business: networking opportunities that serve an educational purpose, such as conferences and joint events with other young professionals’ organizations throughout Chicagoland.

The current Committee members include:

Benjamin Benfredj | Project Engineer, Invenergy LLC
Benjamin Benfredj is a Project Engineer working in the Clean Energy field at Invenergy LLC and started in 2014. He came to Chicago in 2013 and he previously worked at the Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Research, Tamil Nadu, India, and at Airbus Defence & Space. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics (Maths Sup/Maths Spe) and two Masters of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago and from L’Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d’Aérotechnique (ISAE-ENSMA), Poitiers, France.
Benjamin is very involved in the Chicago community; he is on the board of ACCESS, the Young Professional Section of AJC and on the Young Professional Committee of the Illinois Holocaust Museum.

Valentine Bleicher | attorney, Mayer Brown LLP
Valentine Bleicher is an attorney working at Mayer Brown LLP in their Corporate & Securities practice.  Prior to moving to Chicago, Valentine worked for three years as an attorney at Clifford Chance Europe LLP in Paris in their Bankruptcy and Corporate/M&A/Private Equity practices.  She graduated from Paris X with the French equivalent of a JD, from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) with a Masters of Law and received a joint Certificate in Global Business Law and Governance from Columbia Law School, Paris I (Pantheon-Sorbonne) and Sciences Po.  She also received a Masters of Law from NYU School of Law.

Julien Rosan | Business Development Director, Business France
Julien was born and raised in Paris, France, where he completed a MBA focusing on European and American markets. He lived and worked in Europe, Australia, and the United States; and always stayed true to his motto “Think Global, Act Local”. Julien moved to Chicago in 2012 with a global market intelligence firm, and collaborated closely with C-Suite executives from Fortune 500 companies. He then served as an international business consultant supporting medium-sized European enterprises to penetrate the U.S. market. Julien is currently working for the French government agency fostering foreign direct investment to France, and guide American business decision makers on their expansion strategy in Europe.

Sydney Fleurance | Marketing & Business Development Manager, International Management Solutions Inc.
Sydney is from Paris and comes from an international background stemming from an early interest in global affairs. From a young age, she has been guided by her passions for networking, communications and international business. Sydney's education highlights her international experience from Paris to London with her Bachelor’s degree in International Marketing and a Masters in Lobbying and Public Affairs. Her first overseas internship in her early 20’s sparked an interest for Chicago, business and travel. These interests combined with passion led her to follow a global career path. After returning to Europe to finish her studies, Sydney moved to New York pursuing her calling and managed the VIE International Mobility Program for Young Professionals on the U.S. Territory. After three years working for Business France, opportunity and fate brought Sydney back to Chicago to pursue her interest in Marketing and Business Development as the Marketing Manager at International Management Solutions Inc. Driven by her love for networking and connecting people Sydney is always seeking for an opportunity to enrich her fellow colleagues and young individuals with her experiences and her infectious passion for the City of Chicago.
