In February 2016, FACC-Chicago launched its Young Professionals Group, a network of young professionals working in the Chicago area. Its goal: connect and build the next generation of leaders in industries related to French-American business: networking opportunities that serve an educational purpose, such as conferences and joint events with other young professionals’ organizations throughout Chicagoland.

Benjamin Benfredj | Project Engineer, Invenergy LLC
Benjamin Benfredj is a Project Engineer working in the Clean Energy field at Invenergy LLC and started in 2014. He came to Chicago in 2013 and he previously worked at the Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Research, Tamil Nadu, India, and at Airbus Defence & Space.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics (Maths Sup/Maths Spe) and two Masters of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago and from L’Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d’Aérotechnique (ISAE-ENSMA), Poitiers, France.
Benjamin is very involved in the Chicago community; he is on the board of ACCESS, the Young Professional Section of AJC and on the Young Professional Committee of the Illinois Holocaust Museum.

Julia Buchwald | HR Sofitel
Julia Buchwald graduated from ISTEC Business School, Master in Marketing in Paris in 2014. After spending two semesters abroad, one in Madrid, and the other in Beijing, she came to Chicago for the first time in 2014 as an intern at UFEC, Union des Français de l’Etranger de Chicago. Then, she worked at Vanille Patisserie as a Marketing Associate. Finally, she joined Sofitel’ team as a Human Resources Coordinator.
Julia likes the intercultural aspect of her job; she appreciates working in English, French and Spanish. She has been involved in different association such as direction of summer camps in Portugal, the organization of Bastille Day at Daley Plaza, the committee of A La Carte Chicago which celebrates the contemporary French Food.
Nicolas Crouzet | Associate Professor of Finance, Northwestern University
Nicolas Crouzet is an assistant professor of finance at the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University. His research explores how macroeconomic conditions affect the investment and financing decisions of firms. Prior to moving to Chicago, Nicolas obtained his PhD in Economics from Columbia University, in New York, his BSc in Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique in Palaiseau.
Valentine Bleicher | attorney, Mayer Brown LLP
Valentine Bleicher is an attorney working at Mayer Brown LLP in their Corporate & Securities practice. Prior to moving to Chicago, Valentine worked for three years as an attorney at Clifford Chance Europe LLP in Paris in their Bankruptcy and Corporate/M&A/Private Equity practices. She graduated from Paris X with the French equivalent of a JD, from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) with a Masters of Law and received a joint Certificate in Global Business Law and Governance from Columbia Law School, Paris I (Pantheon-Sorbonne) and Sciences Po. She also received a Masters of Law from NYU School of Law.
Anthony Cadosch | Senior Software Consultant, Enablon
Anthony Cadosch is a dual skilled consultant in Software and Commerce, with 7 years of international experience (France, UK, Australia, USA). Anthony also has consulting experience in Software, Sustainability, EHS Management and Finance. He is currently working as a Senior Software Consultant for Enablon, the leading provider in Sustainability software.
Born and raised in the Paris area, Anthony has always been an adventurer. As part of his Master in Computer Science from ESIEA Paris, he studied abroad in England for 6 months at Anglia Ruskin University, London. After graduating, he took a position at Société Générale, Corporate and Investment Banking in New York. Although his family was sad to be apart, he decided to go even further away. After a year in the Big Apple, Anthony studied his second Master's degree, this time in Commerce with a specialization in International Business at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia.
After graduation, Anthony joined Enablon France as a Consultant and moved to Chicago in 2013. He has been a Chicagoan ever since.
