Using Social Media for Hiring Decisions: January 2012
Many companies, whether start-ups or larger organizations, are turning to various Social Media sites to source passive candidates and find talent. This presentation will focus on the business side of recruiting and not on the candidates perspective.
This presentation will cover how the internet and the use of Social Media have changed the hiring process, provide a brief overview of the features of the most heavily used sites, and finally review the main benefits of recruiting via social networks, as well as the limits and risks. Our presenters will share examples that show the pros and cons so that small business owners and recruiting managers can be better informed on how to develop a social network hiring strategy, including how to properly use Social Media Background Checks.

J-1 Visa and Immigration Update: March 2011
