Join GPF the last Thursday of each month for a French-speaking cocktail! This month's event takes place on January 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Great Street Restaurant in the Renaissance Hotel, located at 1 West Wacker Drive. The cost is $6 for members and $12 for non-members.
Join the Alliance Francaise de Chicago at several events this month. Storytelling for children aged 4-8 of Une Affreuse rage de dents (A dreadful toothache) will take place on Saturday, January 14 from 2:00 - 4:30 p.m. Admission is free.
A screening of Caché, starring Juliette Binoche, will take place on Wednesday, January 18 at 6:30 p.m. Registration is $7 and includes a glass of wine.
The Festival of French Animations (ages 7 and up) will take place on Saturday, January 21 at 1:30 p.m. Registration for one adult and one child is $7, while a family pass (maximum of 4) is $10.

The Driehaus Museum & The French Pastry School of Kennedy King College
A new culinary series, Steeped in Tradition, debuts at the Driehaus Museum in January with a program on the art of French pastry. This winter the Driehaus Museum, in partnership with the French Pastry School of Kennedy-King College presents a special three-part culinary program, Steeped in Tradition: The Kings of Pastry. The program will take place in the Driehaus Museum Ballroom on Saturday January 28, February 18, and March 17 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. The ticket price of $165 (for Museum members) and $185 (for the public) includes all three sessions, tastings, recipes, and complimentary DVD.
