It definitely feels like "La Rentrée;" everyone is back in town, and the pace of life seems to be accelerating. That said, I am particularly proud to report an unprecedented attendance at our August "Professionals Networking" event. Over 100 American, German, and French guests met on the terrace of the Vertigo Sky Lounge to network in the summer heat... This month's event will be on Wednesday, September 21.

In the meantime, our 2011-2012 Directory Publication is on its way to print, and you should all receive it shortly. As always, you can also refer to our online directory at www.facc-chicago.com by logging into the My Account section with your member username and password.

Autumn will see the celebration of our 27th Passport to France cocktail; you will find below our "Save-the-Date" for November 17 at the Union League Club. We are excited to present a special focus on French Cuisine (and wines bien sûr) this year, as well as the opportunity to meet and greet some of our city's best Chefs.

As promised, September 20 will mark the first of our fall Business Breakfast Seminars with a theme that concerns all of us: how to get tax credits on either side of the Atlantic. Join us from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Hilton Suites Chicago/Magnificent Mile to listen to the insight of our 3 specialists: Bruce Kletsky and Serge de Blois from Braithwaite Global Inc. and Tony Burke from McGladrey.
