___________

Wednesday April 11th 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

"Protecting your business: from essential legal considerations, to international contracts and liability".

Entrepreneurs and start-up owners often focus their time and energy on financing the business and developing their core products and services. As their business grows, they enter into commercial contracts and hire more employees but do not necessarily see the need to focus on the legal aspects of their growing business.

Yet, a company’s livelihood can be threatened by a badly drafted contract, a poorly protected invention, or a company’s failure to comply with employment or trade laws. Come and join us for an interactive discussion on commercial contracts, employment laws and custom duties.

We will review the following subjects with a legal perspective:

  • Business (starting a business, select a status, review contracts)
  • Risk management (distribution, exclusivity, and agent contracts)
  • Custom duties
  • HR (hiring contracts and immigration status)
