This event is organized by the FACC-Chicago Women for Women event committee.

It seems more common these days for people to deliberately change careers looking for a better fit. They search for a new direction that resonates better with who they are, their passion, talents and strengths. Many aspire to reinvent their careers while others are forced to do so as a result of the changing world, economies and technologies.

In France and the U.S, changing careers, whether by choice or due to external circumstances, can be daunting, or very exciting. In addition to the financial drivers for work, today’s job changers value meaning, fulfilment and satisfaction much more than any other previous generation. People search for ways to make their work resonate with who they are and align with their strengths and passions. Sometimes, the end result is not just a career transition but a complete career reinvention. This panel will explore the role transition/reinvention plans in an evolving career looking at it from both a French and American perspective.
