About the Club
The Sustainability & Business Exchange (SnBX) at the FACC Midwest is a dedicated community bringing together business leaders, sustainability professionals, and industry experts to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and address real business challenges through a sustainability lens. Our exchange connects professionals across industries to explore practical solutions, strategies, and innovations that can strengthen operations, improve business performance, and build long-term resilience.
Our Mission: To connect business challenges with practical, sustainability-driven solutions by creating a dynamic regional network for exchanging ideas, expertise, and real-world perspectives and positioning sustainability as a source of competitive advantage for enterprises across all sectors.
Co-Chairs
Sarah Maurizi
Sarah Maurizi has 10+ years of experience building mission-driven and impact programs, both in house and in consulting, including seven years focused on climate across multiple industries, ranging from life sciences to CPG to technology. Her work centers on ground-up operations and strategic partnerships, building the systems and relationships to scale early-stage initiatives.
She has also built three ventures from the ground up: TerraMater, a sustainability and climate strategy consultancy, where she is Founder and Principal Consultant; People Planet ImpACT, a climate education nonprofit, which she co-founded; and the French American Chamber of Commerce's Missouri Branch, of which she is the current Director. Through FACC, she co-created the Midwest Sustainability & Business Exchange (SnBX), bringing sustainability into mainstream business conversations.
Simone Schuppan
Simone Schuppan is the founder of c2Impact, a Chicago-area consultancy helping sustainability and technology companies translate innovative solutions into measurable business value and broader market adoption. She brings nearly two decades of experience in commercial real estate, with a background spanning business development, strategy, operations, and client advisory. Her work today focuses on the intersection of sustainability, innovation, and business performance. As co-chair of SnBX, Simone brings a practical, business-focused perspective, helping connect expertise and new thinking with the real-world challenges and opportunities businesses face. She holds an MBA from Western Illinois University.
Clemence Guyot
Clémence is an Asset Management Analyst at Invenergy, where she optimizes renewable energy sites to ensure efficient clean energy generation. With a background in sustainable supply chain management across international markets, Clémence is passionate about integrating sustainability into core business strategies and leadership conversations. She holds a Master of Science in Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and B.S. in Economics and Political Science from Santa Clara University.
