Lycée Français de Chicago

First founded in 1995 by a small group of French and American families, the Lycée began as an international school of fewer than 150 students. Twenty-five years later, our community has grown dramatically, attracting families from around the world who share the value of an academically challenging and culturally diverse education. Families find a second home at the Lycée because of our commitment to a world-class education and fluency in respect, responsibility, and the joy of learning. Today, the Lycée is Chicago’s premier international education community, consisting of nearly 500 families and more than 730 students.

Véronique MacDonald

Bicultural and bilingual real estate broker particularly interested in bridging the gap between the US and French cultures and facilitating on-boarding of expat families. While volunteering at the Lycée Français de Chicago, I started to help foreign parents and staff members in their relocation process in Chicago and this is how I discovered my interest in real estate. What started as community work has now become my full-time job. My experience in managing large multicultural teams in the global communication field has made me a problem solver, often under tight deadlines and a set budget. It also taught me agility, particularly when tailoring services to better meet the needs of an international clientele. Constantly navigating between cultures has honed my listening skills and my ability to help others find common grounds and make pivotal decisions in stressful situations.

French American School Of Chicago

The French American School of Chicago, known as EFAC, stands as a unique educational entity, established in 1981 and operating within the premises of Abraham Lincoln Elementary School and Lincoln Park High School. Born from the vision of integrating French and American educational philosophies, EFAC has grown into a vibrant, bilingual institution that serves students from elementary through to 12th grade.

Our Foundation: EFAC is the product of a pioneering partnership between Abraham Lincoln Elementary School, Lincoln Park High School, and the French educational system. This collaboration is designed to deliver a bilingual education that upholds the standards and curricula of both the French Ministry of Education and the American educational framework.
